First Day/Night Box and Cage Prepare a Box/Cage. Pllace a cloth in it to keep it warm and comfortable Puppies tend to make noise in their first night.You may place a clock nearby where the puppy sleeps as the ticking of the clock will emulate the sound of the mama dog's heartbeat.

Introducing to other pets

Be there to monitor them when you introduce your new puppy to the rest of the pack.

Food and Drinks

Types of Food

Dry Kibble - Can be purchase at local pet shops
Wet/Can Food - Can be purchase at local pet shops
Cook Food - Boneless meat/fish and rice.

Water

Make sure you have enough fesh clean water daily for your dog.

Health Care

Vaccination

Take your dog to the vet and the vet will schedule the puppys vaccination to avoid health problems. .

Neutrition

Check with the vet for recommend neutrition for your dog.

Common Behaviour Problem

Chewing

Get your dog lots of chew toys. If you catch it chewing on other items give it a sharp "NO" . Lure the dog to its toys instead. Eventually it will learn what is allowed and what is not allowed to be chewed.

Digging

Each time you caught your dog digging give it a sharp NO. Then lure it away.

Excessive Barking

When the dog starts to bark attract its attention so that it keeps quiet . The moment it keeps quite say "Good Boy/GIrl". Takes time but the result is rewarding.

Bitting

Some puppies loves to bite during play. Give a shreak like "Ouch". In this way the pup will learn that its bite is painfull and it will eventually learn not to do so.

Food Begging

When you or any of your family members is eating do not give in to your dogs begging for food. Dogs are good in giving the pleading look. Be firm and ignore the dog. After a while it will give up.

Toilet Training

Place a tick stack of old newspaper in a designated area. You can also choose to do without the newspaper. Just select an area you want your dog to ease itself.
Right after your dog have taken its food lead it to the designated area and say "GO TOILET" . Wait till your dog has finish eliminating itself. Then give it lots of praise and a treat.Note : This will take time. Do this constantly for a few weeks.The result is rewarding!

Other Pets

To avoid fighting among the dogs.
-Determinie the alpha dog. Be on the look out as to which dog walks out of the door first and that is the alpha dog.
- Always pat and feed the alpha dog first.
-Should there be any fight do not fuss over the subordinate dog. Just stop the fight and ignore the dogs.
-Should the dogs fight do not go near and try to break the fight with your hands. Instead throw something soft at them or spray water. A shout "Stop it" works very well in most cases.
